SINCE A CENTURY A LEADER IN ITS SECTOR
INGRA BROZZI S.p.A. specialized in the processing of animal fat, is today an industry leader in its sector. The acronym “INGRA”, the National Food Industry Grass Industry, is followed by BROZZI, family surname who devoted his life to realise what the company has achieved today. Oliviero, Enrico and Walter are the brothers who founded the company today assisted by the next generation, Franco, Piergiorgio and Barbara.
Everything started from a delicatessen. In the 1920s, Dante Brozzi and his wife Dirce launched two stores in Cogozzo and Viadana. They knew their job, salami and salamelle very well and it was impossible to renounce to the delicacy of their products. In 1947 the third butcher shop in Viadana in the central via Cavallotti.
They were boom years of swine slaughter and here is the winning idea of the three children: the fat processing to get the lard. In 1951 Brozzi F.lli was born as a fact company, he was transformed into a joint-stock company in 1964 and later in 1976 became INGRA BROZZI Company for Shares.
Since 1970, the manufacturing plant at Concordia on Secchia in Modena province has been operating. It embraces various market segments: zootechnical feed, pet food and fertilizer industry.
